Slep è un chitarrista, insegnante, compositore, session man e arrangiatore il cui stile musicale si è formato attraverso una vasta sperimentazione di diversi linguaggi musicali e grazie a più di trent’anni di tour e collaborazioni in studio di registrazione.
Slep ha solide basi di blues, una profonda conoscenza per quanto riguarda il rhythm’n’blues, country, rock-a-billy e jazz blues e la costante intenzione di aggiungere un più ricco vocabolario chitarristico all’energia giovanile del rock’n’roll. La sfida raccolta è sempre stata quella di mantenere vivo il “blues feeling” attraverso tutte le differenti. esperienze musicali.
Uno dei tratti distintivi è rappresentato dal fraseggio “slide”, mediante l’utilizzo di accordature alternative e di strumenti quali il dobro, la 8-string lap-steel e il mandolino.
Premio: assegnato dalla rivista “Fare Musica” in qualità di “Miglior Chitarrista Blues Italiano” nel 1990.

Slep insegna chitarra moderna, da oltre vent’anni, presso il “Centro di Formazione Musicale – CFM” (Scuola Civica) di Torino, tiene seminari sulla chitarra blues, slide, jazz blues e guida il corso “Ensemble” (“Musica d’Insieme”), finalizzato alla formazione professionale di musicisti orientati all’inserimento in una band. Slep insegna anche musica e chitarra presso il carcere delle “Vallette” di Torino, nell’ambito dei Corsi di Riabilitazione per detenuti.
Slep è l’autore del metodo per chitarra slide “Slidin’ on Blues” (Electromantic-Ricordi) e della serie di “Manuali di Chitarra” (“Chitarra Blues”, “Chitarra Slide”, “Introduttivo al Jazz”, “Corso Base”, “Corso Intermedio”, “Corso Avanzato”).

Slep is a guitarist, composer, teacher and producer whose style has been shaped after a huge experimentation of different musical languages and more than thirty years of tours and studio collaborations.
Slep has a solid blues background, a similar degree of rhythm’n’blues, country, rock-a-billy and jazz-blues influences and a desire to deepen rock’n’roll’s juvenile energy by enriching the vocabulary of the guitar. Always shunning compromise, Slep took up this challenge and subordinated everything else to his blues blend of unmistakably laid back languor.
Slep’s trademark is also his slide-guitar playing reinforced with depth in different techniques and his search for a new sound on instruments such as dobro, lap steel and mandolin.
Prize: “Fare Musica” magazine award as “Best Italian Blues Guitar Player” in 1990.
